How far in advance should I rent a car in El Salvador?
A week ahead is comfortable in low season, and two to three weeks around Christmas, Easter and August, when demand from visiting family peaks. Same-day bookings are often possible but the choice of vehicles narrows.
What documents do I need?
A valid driver's license, your passport and the card you booked with. Licenses from the United States, Canada and most countries are accepted for up to 90 days.
Can I rent without a credit card?

What is the minimum rental period?
One day. There is no minimum number of days and no penalty for short rentals.
Can I extend my rental once I am here?
